Celebrities will take to the football pitch for a one-off match in aid of two Sussex charities.

Famous faces including Jake Wood, Dean Gaffney and Callum Best will play a match at Albion’s former Withdean stadium on Sunday.

The match will raise funds for cancer charity Wolo and Autism support charity MASCot.

Other celebrities involved in the match include football freestyler Jeremy Lynch, former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara and Soccer AM’s Adam Smith.

Former Eastender’s and Strictly star Jake Woods said: “I’m very excited to be playing in the charity football match this Sunday. I know they do incredible work locally in supporting families affected by both cancer and autism.

Eastender Dean Gaffney was more recently on Celebs Go Dating and appeared on I'm a Celerity... Get Me Out of Here! 

Ricky Groves, who also featured on the BBC soap, added: “I’m very excited to be coming back to Brighton on Sunday for the charity football.

“I got involved because my dad is in remission from bowel cancer and as well as supporting both charities it helps to recognise the staff who are our modern day heroes.”

The match is in support of cancer charity Wolo, who help to provide financial help to families affected by cancer in Sussex.

Autism support charity MASCot also helps provide support to families with children who are autistic.

The match kicks off at the Withdean Stadium on Sunday, November 5 at 3pm, with doors opening at 2pm.
