More than a dozen new beach chalets will be arriving on Saltdean seafront.
The 14 chalets, in seven double units, will be located on the Undercliff Walk, to the west of the Saltdean subway, and are likely to be quickly snapped up by residents on the waiting list.
Different in design from the existing brick and concrete chalets, the turquoise and white chalets are made from a modern hardwearing composite material, suitable for a marine environment.
Each of the chalets will have access to water and electricity.
Once installed, the chalets will be let on five-year fixed tenancies to residents of the city who are currently at the top of the waiting list.

The new chalets have been welcomed by Councillor Alan Robins, chairman of Brighton and Hove City Council's culture, heritage, sport, tourism and economic development committee.
"Demand for our popular seafront chalets is constantly high, so it's great to be offering these new properties on five-year leases, giving more of our residents the chance to enjoy their own little piece of our lovely seafront," he said.
The new units bring today's number of beach chalets across the city to 119.
Although the waiting list for beach chalets will remain closed, residents can express an interest with the seafront estates team by emailing seafrontoffice@brighton-hove.gov.uk and will be invited to apply when the list re-opens.
