Strong waves and heavy rainfall have caused flooding around Climping.
An Arun District Council spokesman warned earlier today that Climping beach’s car park and the roads leading towards the beach are flooded and “not passable”.
“Coastal flooding is affecting the beach and surrounding area at Climping,” the spokesman said.

“With more rain forecast for later this afternoon and evening, river and sea levels are expected to rise further, and more areas in Sussex may become affected.
“Please stay away from the area where possible.”

A yellow weather warning for is in place for the county until just before midnight on Sunday.
