Demolition work has begun on a Harvester restaurant which was destroyed by fire.
The restaurant in Littlehampton was ravaged by the blaze in August after a kitchen fire spread through the building.
Now, owners Mitchell and Butler have appointed contractors to destroy the remains of the building.
A spokesman for Arun District Council said: “The demolition of the remains of the Harvester on Littlehampton seafront has begun today.
“Mitchell and Butler, who operate Harvester, have appointed contractors to carry out this work.
“Please take care and be safe when in the vicinity.”
The demolition is on schedule and was previously announced to begin in the third week of October.
