A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a van earlier this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a motorbike and a grey Volkswagen Caddy on the A29 at Slinfold just after 7am today (October 17).
Paramedics performed CPR on the motorcyclist, a 66-year-old man from Billinghurst, however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "A motorcyclist has sadly died in a collision with a van on the A29 Stane Street at Slinfold, near Horsham.
“Police were called to the incident involving a grey Volkswagen Caddy about 7.07am on October 17.
“Despite the best efforts of police and paramedics who commenced CPR, the 66-year-old rider, from Billingshurst, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support.”

The A29 between Park Street and Hayes Lane will remain shut “for the foreseeable future”, police said.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes in the meantime. Diversion signs are in place.
