Police want to speak with these two people in connection with a stabbing which left a 22-year-old man with life-changing facial injuries.
The attack happened at around 3.50am on Monday morning in Trafalgar Street, Brighton.
Officers believe the man and woman in the images can help them with their enquiries.
The man on the right was pictured walking down Kensington Place from Trafalgar Street.
Drops of blood, a blood-stained hoodie, and a first aid kit were left on the pavement near North Laine Café.
A 22-year-old was taken to hospital and later discharged. He is still receiving treatment.
A shopkeeper at a nearby off-licence said neighbours “heard a commotion” at around 3am.
Forensic teams arrived at around 10.15am. Evidence markers were laid out across the street and photographs taken.
Passersby spoke of their shock to see another incident soon after the tragic death of 17-year-old Mustafa Momand who was stabbed last Thursday, October 6.
"We hear stories about this in London. I suppose it can happen anywhere but I think it is very scary”, said one passerby who lives and works in Brighton.
If you recognise the two people, witnessed the incident or have any information that could help, please contact police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 162 of 09/10.
