A fire extinguisher was used to spray the University of Sussex library orange yesterday afternoon during an eco-protest outside the building's entrance.
Sussex Police have confirmed that a 20-year-old has been arrested and charged for criminal damage - and will appear in court next month.

The University of Sussex said it "supports the right to protest, provided it is carried out respectfully and within the law" after the entrance to the listed building was defaced.
A spokeswoman added: "We’re disappointed that the protest resulted in vandalism of a university building.
“We take the climate crisis seriously."
