A prolific shoplifter regularly stole alcohol and other items worth over £1,800 from the same Co-op store.
Phillip Walker, 39, committed over 30 different shoplifting offences from a single shop in Blatchington Road, Hove over the course of two months.
Walker, of no fixed address, admitted all of the charges which took place between July and September this year.
Christopher Neilson, of Sussex Police’s Business Crime team, said: “We are working in partnership with the Co-op to identify suspects and prevent thefts.
“Thanks to evidence being uploaded, our Business Crime Team in the Investigation and Resolution Centre were able to build a strong case.

“It meant Walker was identified, arrested, and remanded to appear in court, where he then had no choice but to plead guilty.
“This case demonstrates our determination to catch offenders by working effectively in partnership with businesses.”
The first offence took place on July 7 with the last theft recorded on September 16.
