Bookshops in Sussex will host events to celebrate stores up and down the country.
Bookshop Day is an annual event in the spirit of “bookshops bringing people together” with a range of events for adults, young adults and children.
Two shops in Sussex, in Hove and Crawley, will host authors as part of the day.
The Book Nook in First Avenue, Hove, will host author and illustrator Laura Ellen Anderson.
Laura, who wrote the graphic novel Evil Emperor Penguin, will show children how to create their own graphic novel.

In Crawley, author Tomi Oyemakinde will be visiting Waterstones in The Martlets.
Tomi will be signing copies of his new young adult novel The Changing Man which was released at the beginning of September.
Bookshop Day takes place on Saturday, October 14.
