Crowds gathered to enjoy a town’s annual soapbox race.
Eastbourne’s seafront soapbox race returned for a third year on Sunday, September 25.
Wacky creations flew down Dukes Drive and finished at Helen Gardens as they navigated hurdles, jumps and hay bale chicanes.
Cash prizes were up for grabs for the fastest contestants and “wackiest creation”, although many did not make it down the 350 metre course in one piece.
Entries normally open for next year’s race between February and April next year.
