A prolific shoplifter stole thousands of pounds worth of stock in a spree lasting nearly a month.
Andrew Lewis, 39, pleaded guilty to ten instances of shoplifting targeting businesses across Chichester, Bognor and Worthing.
Lewis, of no fixed address, also admitted committing two burglaries during his crime spree dating from August 8 to September 5.
Sussex Police sergeant Sam Milsom said: “Lewis is a prolific offender causing enormous stress, anxiety and loss to local business users in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Worthing.

“He offends at will with absolutely no remorse. His offending is pre-planned and he stops at nothing to continue to take what he pleases with no concern for public safety or decency.”
Following the West Sussex shoplifting spree, Lewis was arrested and pleaded guilty to 12 different offences at a gearing in Crawley Magistrates’ Court on September 18.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court on Monday, October 16 for sentencing.
