An elderly woman’s wish came true when she got the chance to meet a meerkat.
Iris Sulman, a resident at Mortain Place care home in Eastbourne, made a wish on the wishing tree at her home.
The 92-year-old loves animals and wanted to visit some.
The staff at the care home set to work on making this a reality.
Iris was given a private tour around the grounds of Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham and got to look at all the animals.
But the best surprise was waiting for her.

Iris got up close and personal with some little furry friends. She was able to stroke them and feed them their breakfast.
A spokesman for the care home said: “Iris was thrilled. It is an experience she will treasure.
“She has just celebrated her 92nd birthday at our care home and her day was filled with laughter, cake and a visit from our therapy dog, Hudson.”
