A car collided with a barrier on a roundabout on the A27.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash late last night at the Cophall roundabout in Polegate, which connects the A22 and the A27.

The car’s bonnet was completely ripped due to the impact and the metal barrier was left warped and buckled.

The crash happened at around 11pm last night, as the county was hit by downpours of rain.

A police spokesman said they were not appealing for any further information at this time.
