I am angry and saddened to hear that mindless vandals are damaging the Shaun The Sheep sculptures around our city.
My dad, who suffered from MND (motor neurone disease), was cared for by the Martlets Hospice in 2012 as an in-patient for the last two and a half months of his life. They also cared
for me and my family, checking on our wellbeing throughout dad's stay and after his passing.
The Martlets staff became part of our family and were all truly wonderful. The Martlets became our home too, as we stayed with our dad. We couldn't have got through this time without their love and care for Dad and us.
I really hope these vandals never ever need care or help from the Martlets in their lifetimes. You should be ashamed of yourselves!
Should the vandals be found, they need to be taken to see the wonderful work the Martlets do, which may make them think seriously again about their actions.
We can only hope!
Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
