Two teenagers have been arrested after a boy was assaulted in an alleyway.
Police were called to a report of an altercation in Brassey Parade, in Hampden Park, Eastbourne, where the boy was assaulted.
Officers cordoned off a section of an alleyway, with one seen holding an evidence bag at the scene.
Two teenage boys, aged 13 and 15, were arrested nearby in Broadwater Way, with officers also seen cordoning off a section of a Sainsbury’s supermarket on that road.
Both teenagers remain in police custody.
A police spokesman said there will be an “increased police presence in the area while the matter is investigated” but stressed that it is believed to be an “isolated incident which does not pose a threat to the wider public”.
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to report it to Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1177 of 18/09.
