Two Sussex beaches are among the top ten most popular in the UK.
West Wittering and Camber Sands, one at each end of the county, both feature in the new rankings.
The study rated beaches based on the number of Instagram hashtags used for the location.
Camber Sands beach comes in seventh and is commended for its “colossal” 5,000 metre beach.
Its vast stretches of fine sandy dunes make it a hot spot for beach sports and its size means “it never feels crowded”, said a spokesman for journeyera.com, the travel blog which commissioned the research.
