Traffic is currently queueing for over three miles due to an accident reported near a village.
Congestion is forming after the incident said to have taken place on the A21 earlier this morning.
The accident is said to be affecting traffic for miles on the northbound section of the road from Coopers Corner in Hurst Green to near Ticehurst.
The incident was first reported at around 8.15am.
The Argus understands that the incident is, in fact, emergency water mains repairs in the area.
