A cunningly painted bird box is catching out motorists who are mistaking it for a speed camera.

The bird box has been painted yellow with black trim to look like the speed cameras seen on roads across the UK.

While it may look like motorists could get a speeding ticket, the box is simply painted like a speed camera to encourage motorists to drive safely.

The box was spotted on Wartling Road between Bexhill and Eastbourne last week.

The stunt comes after residents in Horsham painted a storage box yellow to make it look like a speed camera last month.

Another homemade nesting box turned fake speed camera was spotted beside the A272 in Piltdown earlier this year.
