A section of the A259 was closed after a crash between a car and a motorcycle.

Sections of the road as well as Old Shoreham Road have been closed following the collision near a roundabout.

Traffic data suggested that a section of the road was blocked in both directions near the Norfolk Bridge in Shoreham.

A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed that they were responding to an incident between a car and a motorcycle and that the road was temporarily closed in both directions.

Eye-witnesses have confirmed that the road has since re-opened but traffic was still queueing in the area.
