Two dozen train stations across Sussex will be closed tomorrow due to industrial action by train drivers.
An overtime ban by train union Aslef is expected to cause further disruption to the rail network, with several stations across the county having no services operating.
A limited service will be in place across the rest of Sussex, with some routes starting later and finishing earlier than normal.
Services are expected to be extremely busy, with passengers strongly urged not to travel to or from Gatwick by train if they have other transport options.
Trains before 9am on Sunday will also be subject to delays or cancellations due to the industrial action.
Jenny Saunders, customer service director for Govia Thameslink Railway - which operates Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services, said: “We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this industrial action is causing to our customers.
“If trains are running on your route, they are likely to be busier than normal, with longer waiting times.
“First and last trains will be particularly busy, so please travel later and return earlier if you can.
“Please plan all your journeys carefully in advance and check again before you set off. We strongly advise you to make sure you know the times of your last trains, including any connections, to make sure you can get home before services finish.”

Passengers have faced fresh travel chaos today as train drivers walked out in an ongoing dispute over pay, jobs and conditions, crippling services across the country.
Speaking at a picket line in Euston, Aslef general secretary Mick Whelan said: “The feedback we get - and we talk to drivers every day - is that they are in it for the long haul.
“Only when the ministers take the reins off the train operating companies will this get resolved.”
