Emergency services have been tending to an incident on the beach near a sailing club this evening.
Paramedics as well as police, fire services and the coastguard are reported to be at the scene of the incident by Lancing Sailing Club this evening.
Sussex Police vehicles were parked on the beach with people in life jackets standing on the pebbles.
It is currently unclear what has taken place at the scene.
Sussex Police, West Sussex Fire and Rescue, South East Coast Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard were approached for comment.
