A police helicopter has been searching for a missing man believed to be injured in the middle of Lancing.
The man, called Ken, was the centre of a hunt by emergency services this evening including officers and a police helicopter.
The helicopter circled the Monks Recreation Ground in Crabtree Lane, Lancing at around 7pm this evening before leaving the scene at around 7.30pm.
A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed that the helicopter was involved in the search for Ken, 62, who is believed to be injured in the Lancing area.
A police spokesman said on social media: “We’re concerned for Ken, 62, who is vulnerable and missing from Lancing, and is believed to be injured.
“He is white, slim, about 6’2”, with short grey hair and is unshaven.
“Please check any gardens or outbuildings and dial 999 if you see him, quoting serial 1127 of 29/08.”
