Care home residents were delighted when they got to meet pigs, goats and ponies at a farm.
They visited South Brockwells Farm near Uckfield where they were able to stroke the animals and enjoy a walk through the sunflower field.
The residents from Lydfords care home in East Hoathly, near, Lewes, picked their favourite flowers to take back home with them.
They stroked the horses, fed the pigs and met staff and volunteers who keep the farm running.
After a busy morning, it was time for a special treat with a tasting menu consisting of cheeses, the farm sausages and pigeon kofta.
Rikki Bury, general manager of Lydfords, said they were "filled with joy" during the visit.
“Our residents have really enjoyed their day out at the farm," she said.
"Trips out in the home's mini bus are a regular event for the residents and we always ask for ideas on where they would best like to go.
“The day was a lot of fun, residents were able to spend time with the animals and enjoy a lovely treat afterwards. They all found it really interesting, quite therapeutic, and we had great weather for the outing.”
