The Lanes car park has the most expensive day rate as 24 hours there will set you back £38.20.

Next is the Brighton Centre, where it costs £5.95 for one hour.

The multi-storey's 24-hour rate is £34.95. 

North Road is another pricey option with an hourly rate of £5.60 and 24 hours for £31.50.

However, the car park does offer early bird and evening discounts. 

For drivers who arrive between 6am and 9am, who leave by 12 that night it costs £9.50. 

Those who arrive after 5pm can pay the evening rate of £6.50, provided they vacate the car park by 3am. 

Ashdown in Eaton Road is one of the cheapest car parks in the city. 

Next to the cricket ground, the car park costs just £10 for 24 hours. 

Regency Mews car park is the cheapest car park in the city centre. 

It costs £4 for two hours there (the minimum stay) and £17 for 24 hours from Monday to Thursday. From Friday to Sunday, the 24-hour rate rises a little to £19. 

At Brighton Station, prices vary depending on the day of the week.

Sunday is the cheapest and you can park there for 24 hours for just £7.60.

On a Saturday, this climbs to £14.90 and on weekdays it costs £16.20 for 24 hours. Weekday parkers must vacate by 4am. 

Chapel Street in Kemp Town costs £18.20 for 24 hours, every day of the week. 

The multi-storey in London Road costs £22.80 for 24 hours.

Morrisons in St James's Street is one of the cheapest short-stay car parks and you do not have to be a customer.

It costs £1.50 for one hour and £3.00 for two hours and is just a stone's throw from the Palace Pier and east beach.
