Brighton and Crawley are among UK sites being considered by Costco for new stores.
The wholesaler, which gives members the chance to buy products in bulk, is looking at the two Sussex areas among 15 sites where it could possibly build new stores.
Announcing plans to build sites in the next two years, the American business announced it is working with a property development company to identify suitable sites.
Justin Parker, director of property developer Chase Commercial, told The Sun: "We are really pleased to be partnered with Costco to deliver further warehouse clubs for them throughout the UK."
As well as Brighton and Crawley, other sites in consideration by Costco include London, Portsmouth and Cambridge.
The wholesaler is looking for sites with between six and 12 acres of land which would house a 150,000-square-foot building with 650 parking spaces.
Costco is also looking to develop a petrol station on any potential site.
There are currently 29 Costco sites in the UK including in Croydon and Southampton.
To shop at Costco, customers must have a membership which can only be obtained by meeting certain criteria.
