New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Brighton and Hove’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

• Rated 4: NECOT at 58 St Georges Road, Brighton; rated on July 13
• Rated 4: Frankie Vaughns at 180 Edward Street, Brighton; rated on July 13
• Rated 4: MYWOK/ChowOut at 12a Queens Road, Brighton; rated on July 13

What the ratings mean:
There are six different ratings that a venue can be awarded from 0 to 5.
5 - Hygiene standards are very good
4 – Hygiene standards are good
3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – Some improvement is necessary
1 – Major improvement is necessary
0 – Urgent improvement is required
