The Red Arrows are expected to take to the skies over Sussex after an engineering issue stopped them performing.
Visitors to Airbourne, Eastbourne’s airshow, had been looking forward to a display by the Royal Air Forces’ aerobatic display team yesterday, the first day of the event.
However, organisers were forced to cancel the display at the last minute due to “continued technical issues”.
Teams had been working to address the problem but were unable to fix it in time for the show.
Other flypasts were unaffected.
Plane enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the spectacle today after organisers confirmed the Red Arrows display will go ahead.
They said: “Following a pause due to an engineering issue, the Red Arrows will resume display flying today, subject to weather conditions.”
The team is due to fly every day until Sunday between 4pm and 5pm.
Among the other aircraft flying over spectators is a US Air Force Stratotanker, a military refueling plane, which will kick off the show at 1.45pm.
