A display by the Red Arrows at a Sussex airshow has been cancelled at last minute.
Visitors to Airbourne, Eastbourne’s airshow, had been looking forward to a display by the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team today.
The display team had been due to fly across the seafront between 4pm and 5pm.
However, organisers have said the display can no longer take place due to “continued technical issues”.
Although teams are working to address the issue, organisers said the fault could not be rectified in time for today’s show.
Other planned flypasts today are unaffected.
In a statement, Airbourne said: “Unfortunately, today’s display by the Red Arrows will not take place due to continued technical issues.
“The team are still working on the issue, but it will not be completed in time for today’s show.
“Airbourne fans can still look forward to some fantastic flying displays today including the highly acclaimed Team Raven formation team, The Tigers, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Tutor, Fury, Firefly, Boultbee Spitfire and Rolls-Royce Mustang and Spitfire duo.”
Those hoping to see the Red Arrows at the air show should have another chance to see them, with displays planned to take place every day until Sunday.
