Fears that a craft beer pub could be closed for good have been confirmed after the building went up for sale.
Craft Beer Co in Upper North Street, Brighton, had been closed for months but owners initially told The Argus that they hoped to re-open.
However, after concerns were raised earlier this month when signage was taken down, a property listing for the pub confirmed that it was now up for sale for over £1 million.
In an advertisement for the property from agent Fleurets, the pub was described as a “split level rustic bar area with front and side entrance, bay window, brick fireplace and stripped timber floor”.
The property also includes a beer cellar and a two-bedroom flat with bathroom and kitchen.

The listing also confirmed that the site is currently closed.
An estimated price for the freehold site was listed at £975,000 plus VAT.
Craft Beer Co first swung open its doors in 2012 and gained a popular customer base.
The pub closed on January 1 this year.
