A green bus company has apologised after one of its diesel vehicles broke down on the A259.
There were delays on the A259 westbound in Rottingdean after a Big Lemon bus broke down in the road.
Traffic stretched from the Rottingdean traffic lights back to Saltdean Lido.
The bus company, known for its eco-friendly electric and vegetable oil fleet of buses, called the break down “very embarrassing”.

“This is caused by one of our diesel buses - very embarrassing.
“We're waiting on recovery to move it so people can get through.”
There are still delays in Rottingdean while a recovery lorry moves the bus.
Big Lemon’s 47 and 47a services run between Hangleton and East Saltdean.
