A city centre branch of Sainsbury’s will close its doors this weekend for several weeks.
Sainsbury’s in New England Street, near Brighton Station, will close this Sunday for one month for refurbishment.
Work is expected to include upgrading the store’s refrigerators and freshening up the paintwork.
A spokeswoman for Sainsbury’s said: “We are constantly investing in our store estate to ensure we provide the best experience we can to the communities we serve,
“We hope our customers in New England Street, Brighton, will enjoy the finished result and we would like to thank them for their support and patience while we made these upgrades to our store.”
The store is set to reopen on September 13.
For those looking to grab a meal deal, the nearest Sainsbury’s supermarket is in Lewes Road, with Sainsbury’s Local branches in Queen’s Road, North Street, Old Steine, Preston Road and Western Road.
