A Love Island star has been spotted playing football at a Sussex club.

Luca Bish, from Rottingdean, was seen training at Newhaven Football Club's ground in Fort Road earlier this week. 

Newhaven FC kicked off their first game of the league Saturday, July 29, away at Horsham YMCA. 

The 24-year-old fishmonger from Rottingdean was one of the original contestants on the eighth series of the ITV dating show.

He was spotted training at the non-league team's ground on Monday night. 

Luca came second in Love Island last summer with his then-partner Gemma Owen, the 20-year-old daughter of former England striker Michael Owen.

The pair secured 14.5 per cent of the public vote in the Love Island final, putting them behind the show’s winners Ekin-Su and Davide Sanclimenti who triumphed with 63.7 per cent, according to ITV.

Luca was training ahead of Newhaven FC's first home game of the season. 

Kicking off at 3pm on Saturday, the club takes on Little Common in the FA Cup EP.
