Regarded as one of the world’s best Pride festivals, Brighton Pride returns this weekend.
The event will celebrate its 50th anniversary, with Black Eyed Peas, Steps and Zara Larsson headlining at a festival in Preston Park.
The festivities, which also include a village party in Kemp Town, attract around 500,000 people across the weekend.
One of the highlights of Brighton’s Pride celebrations is the annual community parade, which showcases the city’s charities, community groups, businesses and emergency services.
This year’s theme for the parade is “Love, Protest, Unity” and “Dare to be different”.
The parade sets off from Hove Lawns at 11am on Saturday, before heading along the seafront, passing by the Brighton i360 and the Brighton Centre, before heading up West Street and through North Street.
The parade will continue past the Royal Pavilion, Victoria Gardens and St Peter’s Church, ending at Preston Park - the site of the annual festival.
While it is free to attend the parade, tickets are required for the Pride in the Park event, which are available from Brighton Pride’s website.
