The city’s favourite breakfast has been revealed in a new study.
More than 2,000 people were asked about their top morning staple and for people in Brighton it was toast.
More than 60 per cent of people in Brighton surveyed said toast was their favourite hot breakfast item.
It was closely followed by eggs and bacon while sausages and hash browns also earned a spot in the top five.
The survey, commissioned by natural fast food outlet Leon, also asked how people like their eggs in the morning.

Scrambled eggs were revealed as the firm favourite for those in Brighton, with 40 per cent choosing them. Runny yolk and fried eggs were voted second and third favourites, with over a third of Brits opting for runny yolk and over a quarter choosing poached.
The top ten staples in a cooked breakfast for those from Brighton are:

6. Porridge
7. Tomatoes
8. Mushrooms
9. Omelette
10. Breakfast sandwich
