A pet hospital is celebrating 30 years of helping animals in need.
The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) hospital opened in Brighton in August 1993 and since then has had “hundreds of thousands” of pets through its doors.
The vets, in Robertson Road near Preston Park, treated more than 7,700 last year alone.
Vet nurse Sadie Reece said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 30 wonderful years treating the pets of Brighton.

“Working at PDSA is always interesting and rewarding and it’s safe to say no two days are the same.
“We’ve had everything from a dog who swallowed a rubber duck to a cat with a bullet in its eye but our incredible team, who work day in day out to take care of pet patients and clients, are always here no matter what comes through the door.
“Here’s to the next 30 years.”
PDSA was first opened in London in 1917 by Maria Dickin.
More than 100 years later it relies on donations to deliver life-saving treatment to hundreds of thousands of pets across its 48 pet hospital in the UK.
