A serial thief who plagued designer outlets, pinching luxury homeware and expensive perfume has been banned from shops in the city centre.
Alexander Moore went on a two-month spree, targeting The White Company, Jo Malone, and Kurt Geiger in Brighton.
The 29-year-old stole a total of ten handbags, nine throws, two bottles of fragrance, and one cushion, with a combined value of over £4,136.
He was handed a four month suspended sentence by Brighton Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to all 11 counts of theft.
Moore, from Regency Square, Brighton, targeted The White Company in North Street five times.
On one occasion, stealing a throw worth £220, and on another, stealing a cushion and two throws worth £700.
The thief also bagged two bottles of fragrance worth a total of £300 from Jo Malone in East Street.
Kurt Geiger in North Street was also targeted five times with Moore making off with ten handbags valued at well over £1,500 in total.
During a hearing on July 13, Moore was banned from all shops in East Street and North Street and was given a four-month sentence, suspended for 18 months.
He was ordered to undergo drug rehabilitationat CGL Brighton for six Months. Court records state his guilty plea was taken into account.
