Ravers took to the streets on their bikes for a rave across the city with a unique DJ.

Hundreds of revellers took over streets across Brighton and Hove on their bikes, skateboards and roller blades to the sounds of DJ Dom Whiting.

Dom, also known as DJ on a bike, set off from Black Rock at the end of Madeira Drive, Brighton, shortly after 2pm.

He rides a modified three-wheeled bike with record decks mounted on the handlebars, which he made during the first lockdown, and gained popularity for his DJ sets around towns and cities in the UK and Europe.

He was joined by a team of cyclists riding connected speakers, so the length of the ride - about 300 metres - could all hear the music in real-time.

The ride went up Duke's Mound, before turning left onto the A259 Marine Parade and right up Lower Rock Gardens towards Queen's Park.

Dom and his entourage then cycled through Hanover, and down Elm Grove towards The Level.

The rave made its way up London Road and towards Seven Dials. After a cycle around Hove, the group finished on Hove Lawns.

Coloured flares were set off along the route and buses were stopped in their tracks.

The route was supposed to go via King's Road but a section of it had been closed off while firefighters continue to tackle a blaze at the Royal Albion hotel.
