A porky pig was rescued from a ditch with the help of fire fighters and Turkish delight.
Boris the hog was found trapped in a ditch and was pulled from the side of the road yesterday morning.
The “hapless porker” had to be coaxed out of the hole and re-united with his owner with the help of his favourite sweet treat to get him out.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 10.51am this morning to reports of a large pig trapped in a ditch near Birdham Rod near Chichester. Joint Fire Control mobilised the service’s Technical Rescue Unit to the scene to rescue the animal.

“Slings and guiding lines were used to support Boris the pig out, encouraging him to leave the ditch and return to his field. However, he was mostly encouraged out by his favourite snack, Turkish delight!
“Boris was rescued with no injuries and was soon reunited with his owner.”
