Here's a round up of the trendiest local health and wellness spots in Brighton that will make you feel your best. 

Brighton is a perfect place for one too many at the beach, with events filling the sunny evenings it can be easy to spend the following morning in bed with a headache. 

Sweat out the Pimm’s with the help of these popular feel good hotspots that will leave you ready for your next summer sundowner.

  • Beach Box Spa 

Horse trailers converted to saunas? A plunge pool and steam wafting? Fictional, I know. 

Beach Box Spa is another one of the attractions on Madeira Drive, so if you are really keen you could do a yoga class, a swim and a sauna session all in one day. 

The spa is on the beach with sea views and offers a range of treatments and events such as full moon parties and sauna ritual evenings. 

The prices start at £25 for an ice bath, with the average sauna session lasting 90 minutes at £30.

  • Luna Wave Yoga   

Located in the Sea Lanes near Kemptown this yoga studio offers a range of different yoga classes to help individuals find an approach they enjoy best.

The studio has a view of the sea and offers wild spa retreats just outside of Brighton. It has been highly reviewed as promoting “inclusive yoga and mobility workshops that have something for everyone”.  

Examples of their classes include, vinyasa flow, flow beats, mindful flow and many more. 

They are held both indoors and outdoors and are on seven days a week to help you chill out whatever the occasion. 

  • Sea Lanes pool

Right down the road on Madeira Drive you have the new Sea Lanes complex which is a 50 metre open air swimming pool. It opened June 2, 2023 and is in partnership with South Downs Leisure. 

This pool can be accessed by membership which is £50 per month and gives you access to both Southwick leisure centre and Waders swimming pool. Alternately, the pay as you go membership is £11 per person per swim.

  • Wolfox Health Cafe

Take a trip to Wolfox health cafe in The Lanes which serves raw, cold pressed juices, smoothies, organic coffee and plant based food.

Their juices in Gardner Street aims to provide their customers with as many vitamins and minerals as possible and the cafe itself is a great spot for brunch with outdoor seating. 

“They even have a £1 no waste pastry basket”. 

  • Barre Beautiful 

Barre is a ballet style fitness class that is currently trending on social media. The class is low impact and uses ballet movements to challenge and strengthen the core. 

The classes are held at Alive Gym on Castle Street, Brighton and no previous dance experience is required. 

The classes are £12 per class and you get the first class free. The classes are designed to be a new, fun approach to fitness. 

  • Glazed 

A donut shop isn’t your typical healthy food spot, yet this small cafe on Ditchling Road makes fresh vegan donuts everyday. Vegan donuts have to be healthy right? 

They even have a peanut butter and caramelised fake bacon flavour.

  • Garden Cafe Brighton 

The exterior of this cafe looks less like a garden and more like a jungle.

Located on North Road, the colourful, bright greenery that borders this cafe makes it the perfect spot to reconnect with nature as you enjoy their range of brunch options and smoothies. 

Lots of their menu options are also decorated with various flowers and leaves to add to the overall vibe.
