A theatre has closed its doors for two months as it embarks on more upgrades to its historic building.
Theatre Royal in Brighton is shut until September 14 for work to improve its electrics.
This latest bout of work is happening alongside the multimillion-pound replacement of the theatre’s Grade II* listed façade, theatre director Sophie Denney said.
She said the project is scheduled to be completed by March next year.
Ms Denney also said the Colonnade Bar is now open again following a deep clean and safety checks.
Ms Denney has recently taken over from predecessor John Baldock who stepped down after 18 years at the helm of theatre last month.
The first production to take place at the theatre after its reopening will be Ruby Wax on September 14 with her comedy show I'm Not As Well As I Thought I Was.
