Brighton music venues are holding Barbie themed event nights in the spirit of the new movie.
There are many show times in cinemas all over Brighton of the film starring both Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as the doll leads. It is released in cinemas Friday, July 21
Whether you are keen to see it at 10am at Cineworld in Brighton Marina or fancy channeling your inner barbie later on with a glass of fizz in your hand, there are plenty of local events.
Club Revenge is bringing the Malibu dream house to Brighton with a doll themed party night on Friday, July 21. Doors open at 10.30pm and tickets can be purchased from their website, starting at £4.
Club Revenge is on the Old Steine, Brighton and is billed as the biggest LGBTQ+ entertainment venue in the city. Music from the movie soundtrack will be played on level one of the club, with many drink deals offered throughout the night including £3 drinks before 1am.
The club is also giving out free pink beads and heart-shaped sunglasses as well as having doll-themed drag performances and doll land decor for themed photo opportunities. The Ken doll gogo dancers are offering people the perfect opportunity to dance the night away in Barbie style.
Komedia are holding a “life in plastic, it’s fantastic” event on Saturday, July 22 at 11pm. The event is a club night and will take place in the Komedia basement on Gardner Street, Brighton. The tickets start at £7 and can be purchased from their website.
The website tells guests to “expect to hear throwback nostalgia and pop perfection” and to “glam yourself up in your finest pink attire”.
Chalk on 13 Pool Valley, Brighton, is hosting an “ultimate barbie night” on Thursday, July 20. Doors open at 11pm and tickets start from £5 on their website.
The popular music venue will be playing “girl power tunes” and it is one of the first events offered to celebrate the release of the new movie that is expected to be extremely popular in 2023.
