There are long delays on the A283 near Shoreham
A serious crash on a main road has caused buses to divert.
The A283 Steyning Road is closed in both directions between the A2037 Shoreham and the A27 Shoreham By-Pass at the Steyning turn off.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove Buses said: "Due to a serious incident on the Steyning Road, the road is closed in both directions, affecting our BH2 Bus. A shuttle service will operate between Steyning and Shoreham which will be diverting via Coombes.
"As a result of this we are unable to serve Upper Beeding until further notice."
There are long queues in the area and motorists are being told to seek alternative routes.
