A new bus route is to be launched from the city this month.
The new 29A route, part of Brighton and Hove Buses Regency services, will provide an hourly service from Heathfield to Uckfield, Lewes and Brighton.
Also the pre-existing route 28, which goes from Brighton to Lewes and Ringmer, will be extended to cover Hailsham and Eastbourne.
The changes, coming in on Sunday, July 23, are part of the East Sussex enhanced partnership and are funded by central government.
A spokesman for Brighton and Hove Buses said: “We are thrilled to announce that we are making exciting improvements to our Regency routes.
“Major improvements to the Regency network will take place later this month.”
The extended route 28 will run every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday.
The new 29A route will be an hourly service and the frequency of existing 29 buses to Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells will be increased.
Sunday and bank holiday services between Brighton and Lewes will also be increased.
The changes also mean there will be some cuts, with services to Halland and Raystede reduced.
