A serial Co-op thief has been convicted after a string of thefts from a chain of supermarkets in Brighton.
34-year-old Nicholas Calway pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a community order on June 14 after the six thefts from Co-op.
Calway, from Percival Terrace, Brighton, was charged with theft on multiple occasions.
The thefts took place between February 10 and March 23.
On three occasions he stole goods to the value of £100, on two occasions to the value of £60 and once to the value of £70.
In sentencing, the court took into account his guilty plea and imposed a community order which includes rehabilitation.
He has also been ordered to pay compensation of £980.
