A woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and drink-driving after a car hit a wall yesterday morning.
The 36-year-old was briefly held by police after the two-car crash where a silver vehicle partially destroyed a brick wall and metal barrier.
Another car, a black Volvo, was pictured with significant damage to the back of the vehicle. Three people were treated by ambulance crews at the scene before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Following the collision in Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, a police spokesman said: “Police were called to a report of a collision involving two vehicles in Larkspur Drive, Eastbourne, at about 9am on Thursday, June 22.
“A 36-year-old woman from Stone Cross was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and assault.
“She was bailed, pending further enquiries.”
