The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's highly lucrative podcast deal with Spotify has come to an end, after Meghan Markle's Archetypes was dropped by the audio streaming giant after just one series.
Archetypes - which ran for 12 episodes from August last year - examined stereotypes that are often levelled at women, through conversations between Meghan and celebrities, historians and experts.
The move signals the end of a deal that was believed to be worth £18m, with the couple signed up to create a range of podcasts.
In December, Archetypes was the winner of the top podcast award at the People’s Choice Award in Los Angeles.
A statement from the couple’s content creation label, Archewell Audio, which was released alongside Spotify, confirmed the parties had agreed to part ways and said they were both "proud of the series we made together".
Earlier this year, Meghan was awarded a Gracie Award for her podcast.
The Gracie awards are organised by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation to celebrate exemplary programming and achievements by women in the media.
In response to the win, Meghan said: "This is a shared success for me and the team behind Archetypes– most of whom are women – and the inspiring guests who joined me each week."
Meghan wrote on the couple’s Archewell website that the show had been "a labour of love".
It comes after a royal expert predicted that the marriage between Prince Harry and Meghan will "end in tragedy".
Biographer Tom Bower appeared on Dan Wootton Tonight on GB News, claiming that Meghan is a "scheming woman" who is only interested in using people for her own benefit.
He went on to say that Harry has no idea about the game he is engaged in through their marriage and that Meghan's agenda is so obscure that no one can say what it is, except that "she has got a puppet, and the puppet is Harry".
