An auction has been launched with days out and fine dining up for grabs to raise money for a four-year-old with a rare and aggressive cancer to go to America for treatment.

Teddy Lichten, from Hassocks, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of cancer which mainly affects babies and young children, just after his third birthday.

His parents Kat and Alistair have been fundraising to get him to America for treatment which is not currently available in the UK.

Teddy has since undergone high-dose chemotherapy, blood transfusions, stem cell transplants and radiotherapy.

He still has seven months of front-line treatment ahead of him.

Now, an auction has been launched to help raise funds to get him to the US, which could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The life-saving treatment is a new vaccine which would help Teddy’s body fight off the cancer on its own and could cost anything from £250,000 to £300,000.

The Auction Of Promises was set up in during Teddy’s birthday month, June, to support fundraising efforts.

Lucky bidders can win prizes including tickets for karaoke, Bewilder Box Escape Rooms, Lingfield Park Races, the Brighton i360 and a golf day at Cuckfield Golf Centre.
