Schools have been forced to shut due to a lack of water.
Two schools in East Sussex have imposed emergency closures due to the situation.
Several leaks in the Crowborough, Rotherfield and Mayfield area are causing interruptions to people's water supply.
Beacon Academy, Crowborough, has closed its sixth form and has told pupils to go to its Beeches site.
The East Sussex County Council website said: “Our Green Lane Sixth Form site continues to be impacted by the loss of water supply in Crowborough.
“All Year 12 and 13 students are to go straight to Beeches site on Tuesday morning. Information has been sent to all Year 12 and 13 parents and students via Edulink.”
Rotherfield Primary School has decided to close to all year groups today.
The council website said: “Early morning investigations show that water pressure at school is still very weak and so we have taken the difficult decision to close for today.
“As South East Water cannot guarantee when supplies will be back to normal it is likely that pressure will drop again in the village, and we will be in the same position as we were yesterday.
“Year 6 trip will go ahead as planned; the children will need to be collected from school at 12.00 please.”
Mark Cross Church of England Primary School in Crowborough has also closed.
