Film crews said to be working on new Hollywood film Wicked which stars singer Ariana Grande have been seen at a Sussex beauty spot.
Dozens of lorries and trailers filled Seven Sisters Car Park in Cuckmere Haven, near Seaford, last Tuesday.
A sailing boat seen in Buckinghamshire during the filming for Wicked appeared to be moored up when an Argus reporter visited the scene near the Seven Sisters.
Film crews with a crane were also filming next to the meanders away from the car park and residents believe it is for filming of Universal Pictures' blockbuster Wicked.
Universal Pictures’ Wicked has been filming in the UK including with a giant studio in Buckinghamshire where Ariana Grande was spotted in April.
Western Sky Limited, which is owned by Universal Pictures, was involved in the Wicked filming in Buckinghamshire. This same company had a sign out at Cuckmere which said filming was in progress.
It read: “The producers and crew would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during the preparation and filming of this production.”
Security staff said they “didn’t know” what was being filmed and said no cars could go down the path towards Cuckmere Haven.
Lorries which were part of the filming were also further east up at Gayles Farm.
Ariana Grande is playing Glinda the Good Witch in the highly-anticipated Hollywood adaption of the Broadway musical Wicked.
She is joined by Cynthia Erivo who plays Elphaba Thropp, a woman born with green skin who later becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.
The film also features names including Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Independence Day’s Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh.
Wicked is set to be released on November 27 next year.
Western Sky Limited submitted a planning application last year for a film set near the small village of Ivinghoe in Buckinghamshire. This was used to film Wicked.
Filming was expected to start on April 6 and finish on July 26.
A spokesman for South Downs National Park said: "Seven Sisters is an internationally iconic location and from time to time is used for film shoots.
"The shoot is one of many at the country park that are managed by Sussex Film Office and we’re not able to give details of individual film shoots."
Marc Platt Productions is another company involved in the film.
Universal Pictures and Marc Platt Productions have been approached for comment.
