A Brighton contestant on the UK’s first gay dating TV show has revealed that his relationship has stood the test of time.
After breaking up with fellow contestant Ben Clark, Brighton’s Ollie King met Dan Glendinning from Glasgow.
The pair, both 27, fell for each other almost straight after meeting, becoming very close while spending time together at the romantic masseria in Italy.
“I think I have found my somebody to love,” Ollie said in the show’s penultimate episode.
The pair spoke to host Dannii Minogue on a special reunion show eight months on from their time in the masseria.
Dan said: “Straight after the masseria, Ollie basically moved into my flat in Shoreditch for a week and we spent loads of time together and we got to know each other a lot more.”
While the couple said that their romance had “not been completely plain sailing”, Dan said: “I can honestly say that we are stronger than ever.”

Ollie also revealed his hunch that he had met Dan before had turned out to be right.
“As we were stepping on to the plane on the way home, we exchanged numbers and, literally, all the chat history came up and the pictures,” he told Dannii.
“The whole chat log came up and I was like ‘wow, that’s where I know him from’. It just took us all this time to actually finally meet and go all the way to Italy.”
However, fellow Brighton contestant Kalium Webster did not remain coupled up with his romantic partner Jake Devline-Reed after the show ended.
The couple said the distance between each other, with Jake living Swansea and busy with commitments in the outside world, made the relationship hard to keep going.
Kailum said: “The way that Jake had so much work to do and he had such a busy schedule and life, it just wasn’t able to pan out because I need a lot of love a lot of the time.
“Because he’s just so busy with work and doing amazing in his life, it just didn’t work.
“It was quite hard because it’s the first time in so long that I’d felt that way towards somebody.”
A disappointed Dannii said: “How can I move Brighton closer to Wales?”

A spinoff of the show, I Kissed A Girl, will return to screens soon, with ten lesbian contestants meeting for the first time and being coupled up with a kiss.
Dannii said: “After showing love truly is for everyone with I Kissed A Boy, I am thrilled to have the chance to be Cupid again for girls in this second series.
“I am so excited to see if we can find more connections, chemistry and hopefully love sealed with a kiss - here come the girls.”
Casting is open for the upcoming series, with applicants able to apply via the BBC’s website.
Prospective contestants need to be free to travel to the masseria in Italy in September 2023.
Applications for I Kissed A Girl close on August 7.
